The cocktail glass-shaped GMT hand in deep blue is an unexpectedly clever touch — whimsical enough to notice, restrained enough that it doesn’t look gimmicky. Inside is Seiko’s 4R34 caliber — a 24-jewel automatic running at 21,600 vph with about 41 hours of power reserve. This is a caller GMT, meaning the 24-hour hand adjusts independently to track a second time zone. It’s not a true traveler GMT, but for anyone who checks in with another city regularly, it does the job. Accuracy is rated at +40/-20 seconds per day — honest, not spectacular. The movement is visible through the screw-down caseback, though the finishing is industrial rather than decorative.

The 40.5mm case wears well thanks to a 47.5mm lug-to-lug that won’t overhang most wrists. At 12.8mm thick, it’s not slim, but it’s reasonable for a GMT. The box-shaped Hardlex crystal adds character, though sapphire would have been welcome at this price. Water resistance is 50 meters — enough for handwashing, not for the pool.
