Seiko SRPH45 BAIT x Astro Boy
Watch collaborations with anime and pop culture properties often feel forced. The SRPH45 manages to avoid that trap by leaning into the aesthetic rather than just slapping a logo on a dial. This BAIT collaboration takes Osamu Tezuka’s iconic robot hero and builds a watch around the theme.
The Astro Boy Treatment
The gray and black patterned dial features a stylized, skeletonized Astro Boy head—abstract enough to work as design, recognizable enough for fans. The BAIT logo and Astro Boy silhouette add context without overwhelming. It’s collectible design rather than merchandise.
Blacked Out Build
The 42.5mm stainless steel case gets a black ion finish that matches the bracelet. It wears substantial at 13.4mm thick. The black-on-black treatment gives it presence without the usual flashiness of limited editions. Day-date at 3 o’clock, LumiBrite hands and markers.
