The Casio G-Shock GA2200BB-1A is the all-black colorway of the slim Carbon Core Guard GA-2200 series. A three-tier construction integrates the bezel, case back, and buttons into a single piece, slimming the case to just 12.8mm while maintaining the legendary G-Shock toughness.
Carbon Core Guard Construction
The 50.8 x 47.1mm resin case features a Carbon Core Guard structure, with six prominent screws on the round bezel projecting a rugged tool-watch look. Larger shock-resistant side buttons replace traditional button guards, creating a cleaner profile that is easier to operate.
Analog-Digital Display
Two analog hands sweep over an inset disc indicator inspired by an automotive brake disc. A diagonal digital display between the 4 and 6 o’clock positions adds boldness while delivering full G-Shock functionality: world time across 31 time zones, 1/100-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, 5 daily alarms, and full auto-calendar to 2099. The vapor-deposition metallic finish on the disc indicator and surrounding ring adds dynamic three-dimensionality.
Built for the Outdoors
The GA2200BB-1A is shock resistant and rated for 200-meter water resistance, with a mineral glass crystal and Neobrite luminescence. A slide lever-type band system makes the resin band quick to swap. Powered by twin SR726W batteries delivering approximately 3 years of life, with a Super Illuminator double LED that lights both the analog face and digital display.
