Citizen’s Eco-Drive has been running on light since 1976, and the BN0267-04L puts it in a proper ISO-rated 200m diver. Screw-lock crown, unidirectional bezel, anti-reflective sapphire, and the new E118 caliber that holds about a year of reserve in the dark.
About The Product
Citizen BN0267-04L: The Promaster Dive Grows a Year-Long Reserve
Citizen has been building Promaster divers for decades, and the shape is familiar by now: 40.6mm of steel, a blue ion-plated bezel, and a dial you can read at a glance. What is new here sits underneath. This 2026 Marine release runs the E118, an Eco-Drive caliber that holds roughly a year of running time on a full charge. That is the kind of change nobody photographs and everybody notices six months in.
ISO-Rated, Not Dive-Styled
The dial reads DIVER’S 200m, and that marking is not decoration. Citizen builds this one to ISO dive standards: a unidirectional bezel that turns only one way, a screw-lock crown, a solid screw-down caseback, and lume on the hands and indices that is still there after the light goes. Plenty of watches claim 200 meters. Fewer earn the marking on the dial.
The E118 and What a Year of Reserve Means
Eco-Drive is not a novelty. Citizen has been refining light-powered movements since 1976, and the E118 pushes the stored reserve to about a year in the dark, holding roughly plus or minus 15 seconds a month. In practice that means the watch you left in a drawer over winter is still running in spring. No battery, no winding, no service interval built around a cell.
40.6mm With a Sapphire Front
The case measures 40.6mm across and around 11.7mm thick, with 47.5mm lug to lug, which is modest by dive-watch standards and rather the point. Anti-reflective sapphire sits over a blue sunray dial that shifts from bright to near-black depending on the angle. The 20mm polyurethane strap and buckle are honest dive kit: they will not win a design award, and they will not mind salt water either.
The Honest Take
The strap is the obvious upgrade path, and this reference is not offered on a bracelet. Accept that and what is left is a genuine ISO diver with sapphire, a screw-lock crown and nothing to charge or replace, at a price where sapphire is still not a given.

The Brand
CITIZEN released its first-ever watch, a mechanical pocket watch, in 1924. They were also the first to create quartz crystal and unveiled the CRYSTRON SOLAR CELL in 1976. This was the world's first commercial light-powered analogue quartz watch that was the foundation for Citizen's iconic Eco-Drive technology. Citizen’s diverse portfolio of watches is accessibly priced and ranges from professional-grade, sport-inspired designs with advanced functions to sophisticated, timeless silhouettes that are beautiful as well as collectible.
