The Weston is one of Timex’s 2026 arrivals, and it plays a familiar trick well: keep the dial layout clean and dressy, then wrap it in sports-watch furniture. A blue bezel carries a printed 60-minute scale, the dial adds a 24-hour inner track, and the whole thing sits in a 45mm steel case with short, integrated-looking lugs. It reads more expensive than it is.

The Dial Does The Heavy Lifting

Blue dials are everywhere. Textured blue dials that actually catch light are not. Timex ran a fine waffle grid across the centre, which breaks up what would otherwise be a flat expanse and gives the applied baton markers something to sit against. Markers and hands are lumed, the date sits beside 3 o’clock, and the seconds hand is a lighter blue that stays visible without shouting.

Fixed Bezel, Not A Timing Bezel

Worth being straight about: the blue bezel does not rotate. It is a stationary insert with a printed minute scale, so you get the visual language of a dive watch without the function. With 50m water resistance and a snap-on caseback, that is the honest positioning anyway – rain, hand-washing, the occasional swim, not a diving trip.

Japanese Quartz, 45mm On The Wrist

Inside is Timex’s calibre 203, a Japanese quartz movement running on a standard SR626SW cell. Nothing exotic, nothing to service, accurate enough to forget about. The case runs about 11.5mm thick with 22mm lugs and roughly 53mm lug to lug, so it wears tidier than the 45mm figure suggests – but it is still a big watch, and wrists under about 6.5 inches will feel it.

The Trade-Offs

The crystal is mineral rather than sapphire, which is the usual compromise at this end of the catalogue, and the brushed-and-polished case will pick up the odd hairline over time. The fold-over clasp with push buttons is a nicer touch than you often get here. For a single steel-bracelet watch that looks sharp under a cuff and does not panic in the rain, the maths works out.
