The Seiko SMGG17 brings back the Rotocall idea from Seiko’s 1980s digital-watch era. Its octagonal rotating bezel changes modes, giving the watch a distinctive control layout that separates it from ordinary digital watches.
A824 Quartz Function Set
The A824 quartz movement supports a rotary switch, chronograph timing up to 100 hours in 1/100-second increments, a single-time alarm, dual-time display, and battery-life warning. Seiko rates precision at approximately +/-20 seconds per month with about three years of battery life.
37mm Stainless Steel Case
The stainless steel case measures 37.0mm across, 10.6mm thick, and 43.5mm lug-to-lug. Hardlex crystal, a screw case back, 10 bar water resistance, and a stainless steel bracelet with push-button clasp make it a practical everyday digital watch.
Yellow-Accent Rotocall Design
The SMGG17 colorway pairs a gray digital display with black and yellow bezel accents. It has a technical, retro-futuristic look that works for collectors who want something more unusual than a standard analog sports watch.
