Combining precision timing with wearability and the energy efficiency of solar power, this exceptional watch, inspired by Seiko’s first precision chronographs, developed for international sporting competitions in 1964, provides chronograph measurement of up to 60 minutes of elapsed time in 1/5-second increments and includes a split time function.
The solar cell, powered by any light source, with no battery change required, offers a 6-month power reserve when fully charged. Framed by a black tachymeter bezel, the navy blue dial, with distinctive sand-blasted texture, features red accents and three black subdials, including a 24-hour indicator, as well as a date calendar and beige LumiBrite hands and markers. In stainless steel, with curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal, this rugged timepiece also offers the security of a screwdown caseback and tri-fold push button release clasp.
