About The Product
Seiko SRPH59 Prospex U.S. Special Edition
The Prospex Turtle U.S. Special Edition series offers the iconic case shape with some visual upgrades. The SRPH59 goes full blue—dial pattern, ceramic bezel, the works. It’s a more traditional dive watch color than the turquoise SRPH57 sibling.
The Turtle Shape
The 45mm cushion case has been around since the 1970s for good reason—it wears smaller than the numbers suggest and handles dive duties without drama. At 13.2mm thick with 200 meters of ISO-rated water resistance, this is built for actual underwater use, not just beach trips.
Blue on Blue
The patterned blue dial gets texture from turtle-shell inspired etching, and the matching blue ceramic bezel ties it together. Day-date at 3 o’clock with English/Kanji day option. LumiBrite hands and indices handle the underwater legibility requirements.
Special Edition Upgrades
Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface—better than the standard Hardlex you’d find on regular Prospex models. The caseback features a sea turtle engraving that marks it as part of the Special Edition series.
The 4R36 Movement
Inside is Seiko’s proven 4R36 automatic—24 jewels, 41-hour power reserve, hacking and hand-winding. It’s the same reliable caliber across the Prospex range, which means you’re getting dive-ready reliability without overthinking it.
