The Baby-G BA110 takes the GA-110’s iconic layered design and scales it for smaller wrists. Shock resistant with 100m water resistance, analog-digital display, world time, and a rose gold metallic dial on glossy white resin. G-Shock tough, without the G-Shock bulk.

Casio BA110-7A1: The G-Shock That Fits Smaller Wrists

The Baby-G BA110 is one of those watches that solved a real problem. G-Shock fans with smaller wrists had been downsizing into watches that lost the whole point of G-Shock design—the aggressive, layered look that made the GA-110 a streetwear icon. Casio’s answer was to shrink the GA-110’s DNA into a case that actually works on a 5.5-inch wrist without looking like a dinner plate.

Rose Gold on White: Better Than It Sounds

The BA110-7A1 pairs a glossy white resin case with a rose gold metallic dial, and somehow it avoids looking cheap. The 3D layered face uses gear-motif hands and metallic-coated indices that catch light at angles. The combination reads more “intentional” than “trendy”—it works with everything from jeans to activewear without screaming for attention.

Built Tougher Than It Looks

Under the fashion-forward exterior sits genuine G-Shock engineering. The BA110-7A1 is shock resistant with 100 meters of water resistance—enough for swimming and snorkeling. The analog-digital combo display runs on Casio’s Module 5338, delivering world time across 48 cities, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, five daily alarms, and an LED backlight with afterglow. Battery life runs about two years on a pair of SR726W cells.

The Size Question

At 43.4mm wide and 15.8mm thick, the BA110 wears larger than a typical women’s watch but considerably smaller than its G-Shock counterpart. The 46.3mm lug-to-lug keeps it manageable on wrists down to about 5.5 inches. At 44.9 grams, you barely notice it’s there.

Who It’s For

If you want G-Shock toughness in a package that doesn’t dwarf a smaller wrist, the BA110 is the go-to. It’s not trying to be dainty—it’s a proper tool watch that happens to come in a size and colorway that works for people who found the GA-110 too bulky. The trade-off is battery power (no solar here), but two years of maintenance-free wear is perfectly reasonable.

Casio was founded in 1946 by Akio Morita, the son of Sony's founder Masaru Ibuka. Casio made the first all-electric digital calculator, which was a technological breakthrough at the time. It also innovated with digital cameras as early as the 1980s, and developed affordable electronic keyboards for musicians. Today, Casio is also a global leader in the manufacture of affordable digital watches.
