A functioning watch on your finger. Fossil shrunk the Raquel’s rectangular face down to 14mm, mounted it on a gold-tone expansion ring band, and powered it with a Swiss Ronda quartz movement. It tells time, it’s a ring, it’s both.

Fossil ES5343: Yes, It’s Actually a Watch

Watch rings have been around since the early 1900s, but they’ve never been common. Fossil’s Raquel Watch Ring takes their rectangular tank-style design, miniaturizes it to 14mm, and mounts it on an expansion ring band. The result is exactly what it looks like: a functioning watch you wear on your finger.

How It Works

Inside the tiny rectangular case is a Ronda 1032 Swiss quartz movement—two hands, no date, just time. The gold sunray dial catches light the way the full-size Raquel does, just smaller. “FOSSIL” branding sits at 6 o’clock. The mineral crystal protects the dial, and the whole thing is water resistant to 5 ATM, which means you don’t need to remove it for hand washing.

The Ring Part

The expansion band stretches to fit, then contracts to hold position. Circumference of around 53mm puts it roughly in the size 6-7 range for most people, but the stretch design offers flexibility. The gold-tone stainless steel matches the watch head, keeping the whole piece cohesive.

Who It’s For

This isn’t trying to replace a wrist watch—it’s a conversation piece that happens to tell time. If you stack rings, this adds something different. If you want a watch that doubles as jewelry without the wrist commitment, this works. If you’re looking for serious timekeeping, stick with the regular Raquel.

The Bottom Line

The Watch Ring is deliberately niche. Fossil built it well—Swiss movement, proper water resistance, solid construction—but its appeal is specific. At 14mm, legibility requires intention. What you get is a genuinely functioning watch in ring form, executed better than most attempts at this format.
