About The Product
Citizen NB6026-56L: The Fujitsubo Returns
The “Fujitsubo” (barnacle) was Citizen’s original dive watch from 1967. The NB6026-56L marks its 35th anniversary with a limited run of 4,500 pieces—Super Titanium construction, in-house movement, and the blue dial that’s become synonymous with the Promaster line.
Super Titanium Explained
Citizen’s Super Titanium isn’t marketing speak—it’s titanium with a Duratect Platinum coating that achieves 1,000-1,200 HV hardness. Regular stainless steel sits around 200 HV. This means the case and bracelet resist scratches at a level that other dive watches at this price simply don’t match. At 111 grams, it’s lighter than steel equivalents too.
Cal. 9051: Citizen’s Own
The automatic movement is Citizen-made: 24 jewels, 28,800 vph, 42-hour power reserve. Hacking seconds for accurate time setting. Accuracy spec is -10 to +20 seconds per day—honest for a sports watch movement. Antimagnetic rating of 16,000 A/m handles everyday magnetic exposure.
Built for Diving
200m water resistance with screw-down crown and caseback. Sapphire crystal handles depth pressure. The unidirectional bezel has positive clicks. Luminous indices and hands for visibility underwater. This is an ISO-rated dive watch, not a “diver-style” fashion piece.
The Collector’s Angle
Limited editions get thrown around casually, but 4,500 pieces for a 35th anniversary commemorating a historically significant design means something. If you want a serious dive watch in Super Titanium with heritage credentials, the Fujitsubo delivers—and it won’t be available forever.

The Brand
CITIZEN released its first-ever watch, a mechanical pocket watch, in 1924. They were also the first to create quartz crystal and unveiled the CRYSTRON SOLAR CELL in 1976. This was the world's first commercial light-powered analogue quartz watch that was the foundation for Citizen's iconic Eco-Drive technology. Citizen’s diverse portfolio of watches is accessibly priced and ranges from professional-grade, sport-inspired designs with advanced functions to sophisticated, timeless silhouettes that are beautiful as well as collectible.
