About The Product
Casio GBD200-7: G-Shock Gets Serious About Running
The G-SQUAD line is Casio’s answer to fitness watches, but done the G-Shock way. The GBD200 brings running-specific features without requiring a subscription or daily charging. White resin, clean display, and the durability you expect.
Training Features That Work
Step tracker, lap times, distance, pace, calories—the GBD200 calculates it all via onboard accelerometer. Connect to your phone’s GPS through Bluetooth for more accurate distance calibration. Set up interval timers for training sessions (up to five intervals, 1-20 repeats). The watch stores 100 runs with up to 140 laps each.
The Display Advantage
The MIP (Memory in Pixel) LCD reads clearly in direct sunlight—a real issue with many fitness watches. LED backlight handles low-light conditions. At 58 grams and 15mm thick, it’s one of the lighter G-Shocks in the lineup. The white colorway keeps it from looking too tactical.
G-Shock Fundamentals
Shock resistant construction, 200m water resistance, resin case and band. World time across 38 cities, four alarms with snooze, countdown timers. Two-year battery life on a CR2032—no daily charging required. Auto time sync through your phone keeps it accurate.
What It’s Not
This isn’t a Garmin or Apple Watch. No heart rate sensor, no built-in GPS, no touchscreen. But if you want a running tracker that survives being dropped, doesn’t need constant charging, and costs less than a month of premium fitness subscriptions, the GBD200 makes sense.
