The GA-2100 earned its “CasiOak” nickname for obvious reasons—that octagonal bezel knows what it’s doing. This white dial variant on matte black adds a high-contrast look to the slimmest G-Shock in the lineup at 11.8mm. Carbon Core Guard keeps it tough without the bulk.

Casio GA2100WD-1A: The CasiOak Goes Monochrome

The GA-2100 series didn’t need Casio’s marketing team to make it a hit. Watch communities dubbed it “CasiOak” almost immediately—that octagonal bezel wasn’t subtle about its inspiration. But where some brands would charge luxury prices for the reference, Casio kept it accessible. This GA2100WD-1A variant takes the formula and adds a striking white-on-black contrast that photographs better than the official product shots suggest.

Built Slim, Built Tough

At 11.8mm thick, this is the slimmest G-Shock that still feels like a G-Shock. The Carbon Core Guard structure protects the module without adding the wrist presence of classic models like the DW-5600. The bio-based resin case and band sit comfortably under a shirt cuff when you need it to, but the white dial makes sure people notice when you want them to.

The Details That Matter

The matte black case against the brilliant white dial creates the kind of legibility you’d expect from a tool watch. The analog hands track over a digital display—classic G-Shock hybrid territory. 200-meter water resistance, world time across 31 zones, and that double LED illumination for both the face and digital readout. The 5611 quartz module isn’t exciting on paper, but it’s proven—expect around 3 years from a battery.

The Bottom Line

If you want the CasiOak look with more visual punch than the all-black versions, this is the variant. It wears smaller than its 45.4mm diameter suggests thanks to the slim profile. Not the most subtle G-Shock, but that’s rather the point.
