About The Product
Casio GA-2100HDS-7A: The CasiOak That Glows
G-Shock’s Hidden Glow series does something genuinely interesting with the GA-2100 platform. The dial contains phosphorescent resin that absorbs light and emits a blue glow in darkness—inspired by bioluminescent plankton. It’s not just lume; it’s the whole dial surface.
CasiOak at Its Slimmest
The GA-2100 earned its “CasiOak” nickname for that octagonal bezel, and this variant keeps the same 11.8mm thickness that makes the 2100 series wearable. At 51g with the carbon core guard structure, it’s light on the wrist without sacrificing shock resistance. The white and blue colorway is clean.
The Glow Effect
Hit it with light, take it into the dark, and watch the dial emit that blue bioluminescent glow. It’s separate from the LED illumination—you get both. The Super Illuminator lights up the analog and digital displays when you need to read the time; the phosphorescent glow is just for show. And it’s a good show.
Standard G-Shock Features
World time across 48 cities, 1/100-second stopwatch, 24-hour countdown timer, 5 alarms, hourly signal. Full auto-calendar runs to 2099. Battery life is about 3 years on a pair of SR726W cells. Water resistance goes to 200m—serious overkill, but that’s the G-Shock way.
Who This Is For
If you want a CasiOak that does something different, the Hidden Glow series delivers. The glow effect is genuinely cool in person. It’s still a capable everyday G-Shock with all the standard features—just one that’ll impress when the lights go out.
